The Position

Due to growth we are looking for a General Manager to come and join our vibrant 5 star leisure resort located in St Columb. The successful candidate will uphold the standards of the resort and will ensure our customer receive a 5 star experience. As the General Manager you will work with senior management, stakeholders and the rest of the team to deliver a professional and sound level of customer experience and management across the board.

Reporting to the Director of Operations you will be responsible for the following duties;
  • To review and resolve any guest/staff issues or complaints
  • To work closely with other departments to ensure all standards, guest satisfaction and service improvements are maintained across the resort
  • To implement a strong “customer service” mind set and culture within the resort
  • To work closely with the HR department with recruitment, selection and any employment issues
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Operations on customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the Aqua park, ESYA Spa, Retallack Shop, Flowrider and Reception
  • Responsible for implementing procedures to continuously improve the 5 star service
  • Provide feedback of guest satisfaction to all relevant HODs
  • Responsible for managing the budget and finance of the department
  • Responsible for implementing  relevant training courses to members of staff
The Ideal General Manager
  • Must have previous experience within a multifaceted hospitality industry ( experience within a leisure resort is highly desirable)
  • Previous experience of effectively recruiting, managing and motivating a large team
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as a proactive, resilient can do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Good commercial and business acumen
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be driven by results with a strong resilient nature
  • Must have proven experience in a similar senior role within the leisure industry
  • A recognised qualification in hospitality is highly desirable
