Multi-skilled Healthcare Assistant (Hospice to Home)

£16,763.58 - £19,936.77 per annum, pro-rata for part-time hours, plus shift enhancements for evening, weekend and bank holiday working (Band 3).

Annualised hours (full-time (average of 37.5 hours per week) and part-time hours available)

The Hospice to Home service is a 24/7 service, hours of work are flexible and cover a combination of the following shifts:

Night shift: 10.00pm to 7.00am

Day shifts: 

8.00am to 8.00pm

8.00am to 2.00pm

9.00am to 5.00pm

2.00pm to 10.00pm

We are looking to recruit predominantly for night shifts with some day shifts included.  Flexibility in working hours will be required in order to meet the needs of the hospice.

North Devon Hospice is committed to delivering services to people closer to their homes.   Our Hospice to Home team covers the whole of the North Devon area and provides round the clock care and support, to patients and their family at the end of their life, in the privacy of their own home. Not all of our patients have cancer; we also support patients with all other life-limiting illnesses.

We are looking for qualified and experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our Hospice to Home team.   The role will involve supporting nurses and therapists to deliver individualised care to patients in their own homes. 

Applicants will need to have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent) or relevant health, personal or social care experience
  • Experience of working with families 
  • Experience of services within the community and/or adult/end of life care are desirable

This post is based out in the community therefore applicants must be able to travel across the North Devon area.
