Job Description: Accounts Assistant

Reporting to: Financial Controller

Job role and responsibilities

To assist in the hotel in maintaining the financial records of the hotel and associated companies by accurately recording the day to day financial transactions with specific attention to:

The maintenance of the purchase ledger process to include purchase order control, invoice authorisation, preparation of monthly and adhoc supplier payments, statement reconciliations and any related queries

Assisting the kitchen with updating the food log and flash reporting

Reconciliation and posting of petty cash

Reconciliation and posting monthly credit card statements

Supporting the production of the monthly management accounts and provision of management information

Completion of ad hoc projects

Skill requirements to include:

- Minimum experience one year working in purchase ledger
- Sage Line 50 experience preferred
- Strong Excel and IT skills

- You must :-
- be well organised and have excellent attention to detail
- be methodical and focused
- havea flexible "can do" attitude and be a team player
- Professional attitude and appearance

The ideal candidate would preferably be AAT qualified / ACCA or CIMA trainee or equivalent experience, however,candidates who are currently studying AAT will be considered.
