We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our clients highly regarding care and nursing home located in St just, close to Lands end. The home itself is quite small, hosting 25 beds. Job Role: Nurse in Charge Hours of work: Either 8am - 8pm 3 days per week, or 8pm - 8am 4 nights covered Rate of pay: £17.00 per hour Main purpose of the job: To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate a personalised care package that meets the needs of the service user To assist in leading and managing the care staff in the delivery of excellent nursing care, and participate in the day to day management of the home Key Tasks and responsibilities: To comply with and practice within the NMC codes of Professional Conduct To act as a role model for the team by representing the values and beliefs of the nursing profession To arrange, in consultation with the Manager or Deputy, the moving in, transfer or discharge of service users In accordance with the Home's policies Actively participate in the day to day management of all stock, materials, medicines and stationary Actively participate in Clinical and Non-Clinical audits to ensure delivery of high standards Maintain personal contact with residents, relatives and significant others, being sensitive to their needs Address inappropriate behaviour of others in a professional and timely manner To notify the Deputy Manager or Manager of any problems and incidents as appropriate To participate In staff meetings as required The successful candidate will also need to be involved in the training and development of not only them selves but other members of the team, by assisting where required. Essential personal qualifications/skills: Registered Nurse with current registration Experience in care and nursing of elderly people and dementia Committed to delivering to high standards Be able to demonstrate good judgement and decision making skills Proactive Ability to motivate others Effective organisational and team building skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal Reliable and Punctual Awareness of legislation and care standards as defined by CQC Evidence of post registration qualification or further education and continuing professional development A&C Recruitment Ltd currently specialise in searching and resourcing within the Care sector.
