Reconnecting Social Work in Cornwall
We believe that the children of Cornwall deserve the very best. They are at the heart of our innovative improvement programme, raising the expertise and the status of children's social work, making a difference to the lives of our most vulnerable children.
We are investing in our Newly Qualified Social Workers, with a full commitment to the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment. We are entering our fifth year of running the ASYE, having successfully run three cohorts per year through our established Foundation model. Successful candidates will be part of a bespoke team for the early part of their ASYE, where the focus is on development both through formal learning and practice, before joining their designated team. So, if you're innovative, positive, dedicated and not afraid of change or a challenge, help us to transform lives and the future of children's social care in an attractive location. You must have qualified with a Social Work Degree within the last two years and HCPC registration is essential.
We will support you with:
- High quality supervision
- A core curriculum of high quality, evidence based skills training
- A clear career and qualification pathway throughout your career
- Relocation expenses.
We believe that this is a wonderful opportunity to develop your career. In our ambitious Children's service you can help us bring about the fundamental and lasting improvement in our services to safeguard the children and young people of Cornwall.
The starting salary for these roles is GBP25,502 rising to GBP26,778 following successful completion of the ASYE.
